Each year, almost 50% of the race entrants are new to the Marion Bermuda Race.  Sometimes you may feel like you are never going to get all you need finished before that starting gun goes off --- just remember, there are many members of the organizing committee that are willing and able to help with the process.

Go through all of the sections under race preparations and write down any questions you may have.  There will be many. Send them off to and the appropriate committee member will get back to you.

If you would like a single committee member to help guide you through the preparation process, be sure to sign up for the Mentor Program.  These mentors are experienced race participants have been through once if not many times what lies ahead for you.

Start by visiting every section on the web site. There is a ton of information there and many of your questions will be answered or possibly generate more. Read the Notice of Race and Safety Requirements and then read them again. These are official document for the race and will give you a good overview of what is required.

Last but not least, don’t get frustrated, you will successful getting it all finished prior to the start of the Race and you will enjoy the experience you are about to have.
